Prof. Dimitris Beskos, President Emeritus of HSTAM, has been elected a foreign member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. The CAE includes in addition to the traditional fields of Engineering,the fields of Agricultural Engineering, Medicine and Health as well as Engineering Management and presently consists of 970 domestic members who can vote as well as 120 foreign members who cannot vote. Elections take place every 2 years and every time they elect 20-30 foreign members (1 or 2 from Civil Eng). For more info you can look at www.cae.cn.
